Inspiration for Winter (and scanning question!)

So, I FINALLY have some free time to take some photos ... it's winter break until Jan. 8th for me! I REALLY want to do some photography in the next few weeks and was wondering for some challenges or ideas of what to take pictures of this winter. FYI, it looks like showers for the next 10 days, but maybe indoor stuff?

Also, where is a good place to scan photos? Library? Nearby store?
