Is there a way to stop this pixel from being hot?

Hi all, I have been noticing that I have a tiny spot on my phoots that lights up blue. I presume it is a hot pixel. I have attached photos that I took just now..of my ceiling..to show you ;).

Think of Bea Arthur naked singing and dancing to YMCA?

(Sorry, couldn't resist...)

And I'm not sure what it is or what could cause/fix it. Sorry. :(

No, there isn't.

All sensors have a few hot pixels. If it's really annoying, you can clone it out.

Not sure what software you're using, but I know Lightroom, for example, will automagically take care of it with the default settings on the noise reduction.

I cant seem to wrap my head around how to function in lightroom. haha

I use PSE7. Its not really noticeable in most photos, but it bugs me when I zoom in on the LCD. Just figured Id ask. Thanks

Just run a very mild noise reduction over it and it should disappear.

Or clone it out.

Also - in camera noise reduction should take care of it too.

From what I understand about it (in camera reduction), it just takes a 'dark' frame and subtracts whatever is there.

Stick your camera in the freezer overnight :lmao:

Just kidding. There is no getting rid of them short of replacing the sensor ( which you might as well buy a new camera ) Just clone it out as recommended.

Try using actions in photoshop to clean up the same places.
