Is this samples considered macro enough?

I was thinking to buy a macro lens when I thought I may try with what
I have first. I shot this jurrasic era sd card for sample (plus leaf) with
the kit lens at 55mm. How much more can the macro lens go further?
If you can shoot one of your sd card with your macro lens at least
I'd know the difference. Thanks in advance.

I tried few times with this in manual, they all came out
reasonably accaptable. Lucky the sun was up.

I would say no to the thread title question.

As far as shooting my SD card with mine I could but I have to assume some one else here can come up with one faster than I could.

What I can give you is examples of some of my macro work

200mm on body

50mm with bellows

Thanks for your links, I am sure the macro lens goes further. But in that links I can't picture it as how far. I was going to use coins as sample but different countries different coin sizes. SD card is very easy to picture it by everyone with digital camera.

I'm still going to get the SD card, I just figured I would say it won't be for a couple days for film processing and some one may beat me to it. That's not to mention the variation in lens capibilities and what not.

You're not going to get much genuine macro action with the kit lens.

Unfortunately being poor, I could afford a proper macro lens, however I did purchase some mag lenses one attaches to the front (+1, +2. +4 and Macro). They only cost about £10-15 for the set.

Ah ha, yes I got the picture now.

Therefore for me personally I don't think my need in shooting goes
that small for the time being. The SD card is far enough for this year.

A mag lens is a filter that is like a magnifying glass. There is different strengths that you can buy. But you screw it onto a normal lens and it makes any lens macro like.
