Varies from person to person - and that amount can change depending on a variety of things.
I've been known to drink a litre of vodka inside two hours then drive home 30 miles - but we won't talk about that

I hate champagne. If I was a successful sportsman I'd be stuffed. The reason why you feel it quicker is because of the bubbles. The body absorbs the gas and with it the drink. Normal liquid sits there for a while. The same goes for beer.

Oh, and for those who don't know what absinthe is (because it's illegal in some places).

Absinthe (68%) and whiskey (40%) has no effect on me. But half a glass of wine (10%) and I can start to feel it.

Since I haven't been to the karaoke bar in over a month, now if I drink like one glass of wine I get tipsy... such a lightweight.
