    I finally finished the fish tank stand I made my girl friend for Christmas. I brought it to her this weekend. It holds a 40 gallon tank. I built the frame out of 1 1/4" steel angle iron and encased it in wood. Much better than the bureau she had it on that was collapsing under the weight! :lol:

    Haha yaaaa, she's got 4 other tanks sooooo it gets costly to stock all of them at once! She's slowly adding to it though.

    Gorgeous! Now she can hide all the tank food and cleaners below. I want to see an updated pic with some more fish and decor in it. Is this a fresh water or salt water tank?

    Whats up with the chain from shelf to shelf?

    I agree, very nice craftsmanship. You probably should consider making them to sell.

    Very nice work indeed. She should be proud. Careful though... I feel a long "honey-dew" list being compiled for all her carpentry/handy-man needs. :) "Honey, do this.... "
