It's good to have friends

A friend of mine found out that I purchased my Nikon D80 a few week ago. Today he GAVE me a Nikkor 1.8 50mm lense! He got it in a box of photo equipment he bought at a garage sale. Since he doesnt own a Nikon camera he had no need for it.

I went out and took a few shots with it this evening.......I love this lense!!!:love:

The focus is sharp and contrast is beautiful. I thought I was having a problem with focus on this camera. Now it seems as though it may be the kit lenses not the camera itself.

It's good to have freinds...

friends are awesome, my friend knows i'm into photography, but thought I used canon... she found out last night that I use nikon and was like "holy crap I wish I knew, and now that I do I can get you good deals cause my sister works for nikon..." so guess whose getting a brand d80 body for 400 bucks... thats right.. me

Ask her what she would want for a D3. If it's a big enough savings, I would drive to Madoc from Montreal to personally pick it up... lol.
