    Just got it a couple of days ago - Nikon D200 + MB-D200 vertical grip + Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8.

Absolutely in love with it, never been happier. If anything 11 AF areas is a tad TOO much but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Picked it up on Wednesday, already over 1300 shots taken. Then again, I was playing with the 5fps a bit hehe.

You know what's funny? The guy at the photo shop was really poo-pooing it, he really doesn't like, said it wasn't sharp at all - and I found that not to be the case. It was only $550 vs $1350 for the Nikon, and I can tell why - the Nikkor is a tad quieter, perhaps a tad faster in focusing, but it's a 67mm lens vs the Nikkor 77mm. I assume that the extra 5mm of focal length the nikkor has is the reason behind the extra glass - it's performing wonderfully for sure though!
