One advantage of a DSLR is that it can be a (big) snapshot camera. This shot is one for the family snapshot archive - a record of a pleasant walk in a pleasant place, but with the emphasis on the composition. For more info go to http://photoreflect.blogspot.com

When even your snapshots are this good, I would really love to look through your family album!
This picture says "June" all over ... weatherwise and ... is the person maybe also called "June"?

Thanks for the comment Corinna. I've found that canals in rural areas tend to have rather fewer opportunities for photographs than might be supposed. So, when I came upon this bridge at the foot of some locks, with the canal path veering off to the side, I decided to take advantage of the compositional opportunity that it offered. The lady in the shot is almost June, but in fact Jane (at least that's my wife's middle name)!

    Regards, Tony
