Hi Guys, My names Peter and I'm a relocated Brit living in RI. One of my interests is watches and clocks. I recently challenged a fellow watch forum member to a competition; who could learn the basic craft of watch photography the fastest. So here I am. I recently purchased a used Sony A100 body that proved to be an economical solution given that I already had several Minolta lens from a now dead Minolta 7000. In my quest for watch photo supremacy I have also purchased a light tent and associated stand/lighting etc. I already have a remote trigger from the old Minolta which fortunately fits. Now comes the inexperienced parts. Although the Sony has a pop-up flash I already had a Minolta 2800AF flash so I picked up an adapter for $10 that, according to the seller, will allow me to use the bigger and brighter Minolta with my A100. Good or bad choice? I also picked up a Minolta bellows unit with a 50mm AF1.7 lens and a MD converter. I'm hoping that this will work for some really close up shots where focal distance is not the issue. Good or bad choice? Question? Does the A100 allow you to lock the mirror up? If nobody replies to my questions that's OK, I'll post them again in the main section. Hey, nice to meet you guys. I'm sure I'll have fun here!
