Just got the camera, SD card no longer seems to click in

I bought a Panasonic DMC-FZ7 last night from a friend and got a good start with playing with it. Unfortunately, this morning when I went to put the memory card back in it to take some more photos, the card seemed to just go right in the slot without clicking in. The camera then did not recognize the card and it also makes it more difficult to even get out of the camera.

Is this going to be something I will need to have fixed at a shop and if so is this an easy fix?

Did you try turning it around? It only goes in one way is why I'm asking.

I made sure it is going in the right way. If I push it all the way in, the camera will recognize it but the card still does not click in and it randomly stops recognizing it at times.
