After a little PP I'm happy with how this shot turned out. Didnt quite follow the rule of 3rds... but I'm ok with that for now

I see some reflection.
And play with DOF.
And a certain tonal range.

But what do I see?
Too much in this to let me call this "abstract" yet too little to be recognised. Shapes and forms, but not strong enough to be the leading element... tough.

What can I do to make this a better shot? Or in the future? Concentrate more on a more recognizable object? More contrast? (it looks a little flat)

I never really thought of that... but since you brought it up, it does seem a bit distracting.

Look like a convertible with the top down (hardtop off) parked in a bay at a self-serves car wash, that’s the spray gun in the background, what’s bugging me is why would you have the top off at a car wash?

Right on target! except the car is a soft top.

It would be rather weird to have the top off at the carwash though.
