After a little PP I'm happy with how this shot turned out. Didnt quite follow the rule of 3rds... but I'm ok with that for now :)

    Weeeeeellll, okaaaaaayyy.
    I see some reflection.
    And play with DOF.
    And a certain tonal range.

    But what do I see?
Too much in this to let me call this "abstract" yet too little to be recognised. Shapes and forms, but not strong enough to be the leading element... tough.

A wild guess here, but is it the back of an old car or boat?

I appreciate your opinion :) I'll have to read more of your posts
What can I do to make this a better shot? Or in the future? Concentrate more on a more recognizable object? More contrast? (it looks a little flat)

You got it. The trunk of a car

I have to say the hose in the background is a little distracting...

I never really thought of that... but since you brought it up, it does seem a bit distracting.

Look like a convertible with the top down (hardtop off) parked in a bay at a self-serves car wash, that’s the spray gun in the background, what’s bugging me is why would you have the top off at a car wash?

Right on target! :) except the car is a soft top.

It would be rather weird to have the top off at the carwash though.
