Just picked up a Nikon D3300 refurbed off of Ebay for 399. Very excited.

It does not come with a card.

What type of card should I be looking for and what size would you suggest I start with? (will be doing minimal to zero video).

Thanks.

Sandisk 16 or 32gb.
Always get two.

Sandisk Extreme Pro 95 per second write speed. A little more expensive than the standard class 10 but if you ever need to fire a burst, believe me you'll appreciate the difference.

Actually, I think I want to go 45mbs and up.

Will I notice a difference between 45mbs and 60?

I can get the 45's for about $10 less...

I would recommend getting any 8gb Class 10 SD card.

Also, buy multiple and don't just buy one SD card with 16gb or more.
It's good to have multiple smaller sized SD cards.

So you don't keep all your eggs in one basket.

Echoing the choir here but a bunch of cards is better than one. Even if they don't fail on you in camera your dog may decide to eat a half dozen one day (yes, it happened to me)

Thanks to all...just picked up two 8gb 45mb write speed, Sandisk Extreme cards.

A little off topic. B&H used to sell the Lexar 64gb 1066x CF card at $96. It's not in their website anymore. Any knows where else I can get at that price? Thanks in advance

Sorry, Kwitel, didn't see you already purchased before posting my suggestions.... Happy shooting!
