playing with textures by jenangeljen, on Flickr
 Very creative! (It does look a bit like wallpaper, maybe a different texture would fit better?)
Did you mask the texture, or use color selection? Just wondering how it's on there so smooth and just on that shade of blue. I haven't messed with textures very much.
I think it looks great.
I would like to learn that skill... I haven't attempted it yet... Do you have a good tutorial/book to recommend?
Um no. I just played with Corel PSP for about 10 years til I figured out some techniques.
For this I just took the texture and set it to overlay. Then I set the opacity to about 70 and erased that layer where she was and where the inside of the hole was.
It would be more convincing if you skewed, or perspective distorted the texture layer.
Not gonna lie ... I'm impressed. Looks almost real, minus what bitter said.
Good idea bitter!
The reason I asked if you did something different is because it actually looks like it curves into the hole with the surface of the plastic and kind of fades.
Eh... I just used a fuzzy (very) circle to erase and made the edges not so harsh.
Thats why I get paid the big buck$.
