I'm new to "real" photography. I've been really interested for years, and finally decided to take a class and buy a real camera. No pics yet for here, but I will have some up shortly.

Welcome William and, you seem to be off to starting the right way. Mishele gave you the best advice. One other peice of advice just enjoy it and, dont totally stress yourself out at your results at first. The other best thig is experimant with different settings to see what works and, what it does, that is how you learn.

I'm just south of the Red River/Oklahoma border. The weather has been so blah here that all I've been doing lately is messing with settings in my computer and adjusting my color calibration.
