Just wanted to introduce myself

Just wanted to say hi to all.I am new to your forum and a beginner in my
photographic skills.At the present time I am without my almost brand new
Fuji S9100 because I broke the USB-Port.Sent it back to Fuji in Edison NJ
and was informed that my 2 month old camera would not be under the warranty.They only warranty parts inside the camera and this is considered
outside.There charge for the repair would be $245 shipped back.This repair
seems way to much for a $399 camera.Any suggestion on what would be a
fair price and where to have it repaired.Thanks for any advice casyjones3--

If I were you I would not pay that to repair the camera. Tell them you want them to send your broken camera back to them.

Welcome! Tell them to send it back and then buy a card reader. You don't really need an on board usb anyway. If you find someone who can replace the port for you (did you keep the plastic piece?) and glue it back together for $50 go for it, otherwise keep shooting and don't look back.
