Kodak announces new film camera

    Interesting.

    It's actually a Kodak-branded Vivitar; but I found the comments regarding the "highly premature predictions on the death of film" noteworthy.

    I like the concept of the Kodak branded SLR, I think this is a perfect time for them to do this. The two stiffist competitors have pulled/or are pulling out of the 35mm market. If the body looks as much like the V3000 as I would assume, I will definately be looking for one.

    Kodak is the Nintendo of photography, vertually untouchable having been around since the beginning, their pressence may not always be dominate but they can't be stopped.

    For something as tried and true like 35mm film, I'm not worried in the least that it is going the way of the Dodo bird.
