Kodak P880 digital camera + Nikon Fisheye Converter FC-E8?

Would this combination work with a 52mm to 28mm metal step down ring? Will I be able to get sharp, clear, colorful images? Will I be able to take both circular and full frame fisheye images?

58 to the high 20's seems like a significant reduction in size. I'd imagine you'd get vignetting of some sort. I own the P880 but hadn't thought about a fisheye adapter. Generally fisheye adapters that fit over an existing lens have chromatic aberrations (red fringing) pretty bad. Only a prime fisheye usually looks good.
