Hi all,

I recently brought a Kodak P880 Easyshare and have to say I'm very impressed with the quality of images. I am looking to get some filters like a UV and Circular Polarizer for it, I know there is a lens adapter you can get to change to 55mm screw. My question is do I need this? I believe a 52mm will screw right on the lens from experiments in a store, and is this adapter useful for attaching 55mm lenses if needed?

Many thanks for any help and suggestions.
Peter.

If it has 52mm threads on the front, then you could use any 52mm filter.

There are things called step-up rings...52 to 55 for example, which would allow you to use 55mm filters. But if you don't already have a 55mm filter, there would be no reason to get a step-up ring.

Thanks Mike, yeah I was also thinking that a step up ring would do the same thing at a greatly reduced price to Kodak's lens extension :)
