I was bored a few weeks ago and decided to go to the LA Zoo and the Griffith Park Observatory to test out the telephoto lens. Since it was a weekday there weren't any crowds so it was nice. I used my Canon Rebel T1i and the 100-400mm f4-5.6 L lens mounted on a monopod. Here are the ones i've had a chance to touch up:

Here is the monster lens, I call it the 2 liter:

Nice capture on 11. The water and TEETH are great. You don't often see shots of the teeth on these guys.

CRZY BMW, Great pics ... I know these animals well ... some of their names are Jake, Yoshi, Evelyn, Glenda, Cookie, Pekoe, etc, etc. Love these animals! You captured them so well! My favorite of these are of the hippo. Wow! Great stop action!

1 reminds me of a jazz musician in new orleans for some reason. Monkeys can look so human at times!

Nice captures. That's a pretty nice lens. I wish Nikon would update the 80-400mm =\
I need to get out to California to visit the zoos out there.
