Ladybirds in Macro

Dalebe! they stay still you think? Damn, those lil' bastards were really quick! Ok. The one in the last shot was still for about a minute and I thought it was dead, but it didn't wanted to turn itself and pose the shots were taken with reversed lens and still, I haven't attached it to my original lens so I handhold it.
The ladybird in the first shot has accidentaly landed there when I was holding the tulip in my hand to take a hot of it. the bug was huge! I never saw so big ladybird!

I've had one go at ladybirds and that was with a reversed lens. You're right, they don't hang around. I did find something to stop them running all over the place. Find a jar or a pot with air holes in it, pop the ladybird in and then place it in the fridge for five minutes. It does harm them and keeps them still for a few seconds when you take them out.

i thought they were called "ladybugs"?
Ladybug is the American term. Probably used in Australia and places like that as well but I couldn't say.
