Sounds like my processing scheme is working. I'm trying to pump some depth into/out of my shots. A lot of trial and error. Thanks.
This is Trona Pinnacles National Natural Landmark, west of Death Valley National Park. Not show here other than the formation in the background, are tufa spires, columns of calcium carbonate left from springs at the bottom of an ancient lake that used to cover this spot.
