    Ok, I promise I won't post every photo I take of the sun but this puts my first attempt to shame :)

    I finally resolved the problems I was having with focus:

    The second one looked good...when I didn't know any better ;)

    You did a great job on the new one. Astrophotography is almost unbelievable to me!

    The protuberance in the first is nicer! You caught a bigger one there.
    In comparison, I see why you like the second better overall, though. The first taken (ie. second in this thread) is very much like a lemon. The second taken (first presented here) is more like photos of the sun I have seen before.

    Absolutely amazing.
    My daughter says, close-up pics of the sun make her feel sick. Worse are little film sequence with all the activity going on...

    awesome shot Pursuer, looks very sharp, and fasinating... just think, if that heater decided to quit, how fast would we all become ice?

    ahhh it burns!! :D great shot, definatly an improvment on the origional, which to be fair, was awsome anyway!
