I took this a couple weeks ago and just got around to PP.
Thanks for looking.
MM, it's pretty. I like the colors, the shape of the mountains and everything about it except that I don't find any real focal point. I don't know anything so take my reaction accordingly.
I think you did a good job of conveying the vastness of the landscape. The rule of thirds would tell you to add a bit more sky or take out some from the bottom, but I don't think that's really necessary in this photo. Besides, I'm a beginner, so I tend to follow rules harder than those who truly understand composition. Someone like you who understands it more, knows when to bend the rules.
Thank you for sharing. I've never been out to the southwest. I went to Denver once, but had to go back home But I'm very jealous, as I find desert scenery and southwest architecture to be very neat.
I like the placement of the horizon with this one. The blue sky and the greens of the vegetation and trees and the color of the soil make a nice combination. (Lots of "and"s in that sentence) Oh, the shadows are nice...good time of the day.
I may have cropped only slightly different.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comments everyone!
very nice. I like the lighter line of vegetation that kind of curls up through the photo.
