Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
My question is in regards to the laws of licensed characters.

Example: If I've taken a picture of a model (who's legal concent I do have to use thier image) dressed as say Batman or Superman, do I have the right to sell my prints without infringing on the copyrights of the respective owners?

The word 'law' does not mix well with the internet.

Consult a lawyer in your area.

Your question does not concern copyright, it concerns trademark.

You could look here.

Or visit www.uspto.gov the U S Patent and Trademark Office web site.

There are plenty of examples of people in pictures, film, and on TV who pixelate out a character, a product name or symbol, a band, etc. This is done explicitly to head off any potential trademark infringement suits. As stated, consult an attorney, or other trademark expert, but since you're here in America, I'm going to presume you'll need the permission of DC Comics to use their proprietary characters.

And as always, remember- I'm not a lawyer. I just play one on TV.
