Yes. They are indeed leaves. I think it would help without the black border. Filing down your negative holders is one thing, but I find the border here is interfering with the shot.

Huh. Looks like the leaves got stuck on a wall. I like the texture of the image, it goes with the rougher texture of dried out leaves.
I have noticed that you like to have other items in your images competing/adding to the topic (image of the leaves).
Such as in this image the speckles of dirt-or whatever it is, along with the leaves.
I like the leaves with the backround you choose, without the 'speckles'.
Yeah, I don't like clean backgrounds. :meh:
