Leica shooters

My father has a Leica R3, and it is in need of repair. The meter is messed up. It will jump all over the place when pointed at a light source. Also, when set on the Auto setting ( aperture priority I believe ) even at F2 in a well lit room, the shutter stays open for 10 seconds or so. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on someone that works on Leicas. Any help will be greatly appreciated....

Yahoo or google Essex camera repair. There are others, of course. The price should be around $200.

My work is walking distance from them and almost all of my collectibles and such (including leica) go to them for repair. I can't say good enough things about them....

For various repairs/CLAs etc... I've spent between $150-280 for a two week turnaround at Essex. Leica and certified leica specialists will start at $300-$500 for repairs.
