Lens cleaning for a G10

I own a G10, I lent it to a student and I got a nice finger print from her and I almost freaked out. How can I leans the finger print? Thanks!

Joking of course, in all seriousness. I generally just breath on the lens and then just us a soft cloth.

Since it's a finger print there is body oil on the lens. A huff of breath should work but proper lens cleaning solution my be better. Never spray lens cleaning solution directly on a lens. Dampen your lens tissue or micro fiber cloth instead.

Thanks! My first photo teacher taught me the other way around: a drop of lens cleaning solution and then wipe it off! I hope I didn't manage to ruin my lens! Unless I try sand paper.... just kidding!

I find that in certain shots (flash only?) I get white speckles - not sure what causes it but I guess I need to clean the lens properly somehow?
