I have a canon powershot sx100, which currently has no way to attach filters. So I went and got an inexpensive circulare polarizer. It's fit for a 52mm lens, which is bigger than mine, but I thought I'd be able to just hold it in front of the camera with my hand. I haven't seen any noticable differences with my pictures, but I'm not sure if it's due to the fact that the sky hasn't been very blue lately or if the diameter has to be right. It didn't seem to take the reflections off of water either. Anybody know anything about this? And is there any way to attach filters to this camera? the cokin tripod socket attachment wont work because the lens is too long, and the diameter is too big for the magnetic holder.
