Lens for a Sony Alpha

I have no idea what to look for when buying a lens, im wanting one for my Sony A200 - Ive been browsing bigger telephoto lenses on trade me a bit. (at the moment i only have a 18-70) ill post some links can somone tell me what one would be best? cause i really dont know

Another question on this auction ! Minolta 75-300 AF Lens (suits Sony Alpha) for sale - TradeMe.co.nz - New Zealand I asked how old it was, they said about 15 years old. is that too old for a lens??

i have an alpha 330 ive been looking at sonys 55-200 telephoto lense....

I just got a Sony 16-105 for my Sony alpha 33. I got it mostly because I find wide angle much more useful than telephoto. Also, this is a relatively and compact lens. I find the long telephotos just to big to carry around. Try not to buy a lens until you can see and feel how it fits on your camera and how it is balanced for you.

55-200 is definitely a good lens to purchase at its price. If you would like a zoom lens, I would go for 18-250 which is the most selling lens apart from 18-55 and 18-200
