I everyone!
I'm will be taken a trip it the spring, I will be using a D2 Mark II. I am in need
of a Canon wide angle lens for it. (budget $500 - $650) I was looking at a
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM. If you have any recommendations on this
lens or another Canon wide angle lens, it would be most helpful.
Thanks
Larry

Well those 2 are probably the worst L series lenses but still fine of course, more then fine.
No one here will decide on the zoom range for you.. only you know what you need.

I'd take the 24-105 (or 24-70) on a full frame camera, and 17-40 if it was a crop-sensor camera.

24-70 and 70-200 are the first 2 lenses I'd get for any FF rig.

The 24-105 is an extremely versatile lens. It isn't great for anything , but it does lots of things fairly well. 24mm isn't too wide for W/A and 105mm isn't too far out, but is acceptable for many uses. If you know anything about military aviation this lens is like the F-4, rugged, does most things in an OK manner, very good glass, inexpensive for what it offers, will last until you lose it.
