Lens help

    Ok well what I am looking for is a fast (f/2.8 or so) medium telephoto zoom (about 70-200 or so) for around $1,000 canadian. BTW it needs to be a canon mount lens.

    Well...if IQ is what matters the most, take a look at the Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 L. It's about that price. As good a piece of glass as you are going to find. The IS version is a tad better but more $$$$. Sigma makes a decent alternative I hear.

    Last I looked, you can get the Canon 70-200 F2.8 L IS at B&H for about $1400 US. That's a bit over your budget but it's a fantastic lens.

    You could get the 70-200 F2.8 L (non IS) for less
    You could get the 70-200 F4 L IS for less
    You could get the 70-200 F4 L (non IS) for less

    You could also have a look at the Sigma 70-200 F2.8
