    I have a nikon d40.
recently i started liking the looks of pictures taken with fisheyes. so now i'm really interested in buying one. i skate, and talked to some people on skate forums about which fisheye i should get and they told me that a 10.5mm would be best. i found some Nikon AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f2.8G ED lenses on ebay ranging from $355 to $700.
would this be a good lens to buy?

It is one of only two choices available to you in fisheyes for Nikon digital. The other one is a fisheye zoom by Tokina.

And neither of them will have AF on your camera. :/

I have a lens question too.

Would this be a decent setup? :

    CAMERA:
    Canon 350d

    LENSES:
EF 100mm F2.8 (as my macro and portrait lens)

Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 XR Di II LD Aspherical [IF] Autofocus (as my all-rounder)

    Or would that be ridiculous..

Looks good. Seem like you're missing inbetween 50 and 100 mm and then you'd lack a tele for farhter away than 100 but I am only running 18-55mm of range myself(on the digital)

i thought the 10.5 was DX format for small sensor nikons and therefore AF... how is it not AF? i have a peleng 8mm and its all manual, AF and AE would make things a LOT easier.
