Is there a website where you can see the differences of lenses and the quality of the picture? I know this is a pretty difficult issue because the picture depends on so much more than the lense but maybe there is something i can look into. I dotn kow jack about lenses and i am tryingto understand the reasons why some are so much morexpensive, understand as in seeing a difference in the picture..

If you are trying to compare two specific lenses, try googling them with a "vs" in between. Sometimes people do comparison tests with images. Other than that, follow the link that Dan posted.

I have found that some of Ken Rockwell's write ups very helpful and inforamative... he thouroughly tests everything, and isn't afraid to speak his mind.
