lense question...

    Hey, could someone make sure this is a good deal :D


    Sigma 28-70 f/3.5-4.5 for $80 (manual focus for Nikon)

    it's claimed brand new in box, although admittedly old.

    generally for outdoor use, i think this would be a good general every day kind of a lens, but being somewhat unfamiliar with a lot of this stuff any advice would be welcome.

    I think you might this lens (or others) cheaper ... since it is MF.

    Too high.

    The earlier (manual focus) Sigma lenses are not such great quality. Manual
    focus Vivitar, especially the Vivitar Series 1 lenses, are much better
    both in build quality and optics.

    Of course, a Nikkor lens would be the best choice. ;)

    thanks for the input, my initial plan was to stick nikkor, but i thought sigma was good quality. guess, not.
