I'm looking for some suggestions on a 3 light setup, for an "at-home studio" to be used there, and possibly on location.

mostly be used for semi-still or moving subjects. (kids, multiple post models) main, fill, and background light.

I'm going to take a way unpopular stance and say that the STROBIST official site, is one of the most poorly laid out, non intuitive "help" sites on the web. The information they have in there IS good, but its basically a "skim off the top" approach, instead of "drink the whole bottle of cream".

well i agree with the fact that it isn't the best laid out and organized site, it's at least a good start into getting into off camera lighting
