Lightmeter or Cyber Commander

Does the Cyber Commander do a good job at metering light correctly? Would a actual light meter do the trick better? I had a L-478DR before it was stolen, this was before I got the Einstein system. So I was wondering if I should get it again. Or at least the L-478D version.

I tried using the light meter on the commander but it's always under expose it seems.
