Happens all the time.
Also in choir practise. The choirmaster explains something to the male voices, has them sing their part alone, and some ladies start chatting like there is no tomorrow! I hate that! It's sooo distracting.
So in that respect your photo very clearly captured a little scene that must be known to all of us from one occasion or another, but it is something really known!
