OK.. so what did you do? Tripod, take 2 photos, merge, some cloning?

All of the above... Had to move the black background from behind the mirror to beside the mirror for the 2nd shot. It was harder to set the shot for the mirror image than it was for the out of mirror image. The light I was using for the hair wanted to peek into the top of the mirror.

Just remember to take the dress-up shot second. If they are like my little princess, she will not be taking off the dress and makeup any time soon after getting it on.
