    I'd crop out the catcher and some of the sky, if not all. I think it would look more dramatic. Would also help with all that 'rule of thirds' hype :p

    But I do like the shot.

    Looked through the pics from the link, looks like you were having fun. Also these kids look like they're pretty serious about the game. Just look at the pitcher in that^ one you posted.

    I think this one is better too.

    The holy grail of sports photography is faces and the emotion on them.

    Now if the pitcher had been your subject........

    Funny! At this age the ball is more like a rainbow than a fast ball. LOL It's somewhere up in the sky!

    I actually like the photo with the umpire included waiting on the ball.

    the ball is right above the head of the batter.
    I like the cropped pic better.
