Local Band at a Brewing Company

This was just for fun while sampling some new beers with some friends. The lighting was absolutely terrible in the venue, but I tried to pull something out of it. I chose my 50mm f1.4 because I felt like going light on equipment, but also to pull as much light as possible. Since it was for fun I set my D300 to monochrome while cranking the ISO and opening up to about F2. Feel free to critique! Next event I actually shoot for work, I'll post that instead of the just for fun stuff.

Moody! Some have a little more headspace than I prefer, but good series!

Normally I shoot with a good bit less head space but the ground was really cluttered. I tried to focus more on the musicians themselves while using the darkness to keep the attention directed towards them.

These are mostly straight from the camera with a little bit of curves on them to bring up the contrast just a touch. Thanks you for the complement!
