Hi again,

I am used to do long exposures with traditional cameras, I tryied long exposures with a Digital rebel and was a bit disapointed with the noise and green dots...
do you think it is possible to keep a very sharp picture as you can get with film without accentuate noise? is there a technique or do you need a special camera for that?

I was used to do 5-10 minutes exposures with PANF illford and the details were incredibles...

I don't want to compare here the too differents mediums as they are so differents :)

I just want to know if it is possible with digital or not, Any tips Welcome!

Raph.

I've done exposures of up to 20-30 minutes with a drebel, and the noise was manageable. I frequently do long exposures from 6-10 minutes with a #87 IR filter on my 20D, and there is no noise.

Always use ISO 100 naturally.

the Iso speed was set to 100,
thanks guys for your advide, maybe the 20d is better for this job that the 300...
