It claims you can can get a refurbished Rebel XT with kit lens for $275 for trading in your old Canon point-n-shoot. The article says these models qualify for the trade in: S10, S30, S40, S45, S50, S60, S100, S200, S230, S300, S330, S400, S410, S500, SD110, SD200, SD400, SD550, SD600, SD700-IS, SD800-IS, SD1000, S1-IS, S2-IS, G2, and G5.

I'd research the company/website very, very carefully; the maxim, "If it seems to good to be true..." is never more true that in the area of on-line commerce.

The website isn't offering the deal. According to the linky, the deal is actually through Canon itself via an unadvertised loyalty upgrade program. If you can confirm that the published number is indeed Canon, then I say go for it.

Looking at the prices, I think you can get cheaper through other means but at least they offer a waranty.

well Canon XT is Avail. on Amazon.com $400 body only...
i dont think its expensive..... or is it??
