1.Im looking for a remote for my T1i...
Id like to be able to hold the shutter open manually if thats possible.... And if it could do this and also be wireless that'd be great..

2.Im looking for a good LCD cover
I bought the ruggedized skin when i bought the camera... but i hate it... and that LCD cover is just a plastic piece and its CRAP!

Can anyone recommend any brands for the above accessories?

This should work. Dot Line | Remote Release for Canon EOS | DL-1480 | B&H Photo

I wouldn't bother with this. The LCD cover that is on it is cheap and easy to replace. If you scratch it up just contact Canon support and order a new one. The pop off and the new one pops on.

Check out www.zagg.com. I put them on pretty much every electronic device I buy. Search the web and you will find coupons for them too.
They are very durable. I demo them for people by taking out a key and going across my screen about 15 times. No scratches at all.

If you do go the LCD cover route, go with Giottos AEGIS LCD glass. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it. It is semi permanent and made of hard scratch resistant glass. They are sold cut specifically for certain models of camera and also sold in standard sizes. Professional LCD Protectors
