i agree, ashame the cars got in the way of a great photograph, however, sometimes it is what it is... you try to change the setting you sometimes lose the photograph opportunity.... but since in your case you have the chance to retake the photo then you should... you are on th right track with this!

As to your pic: nice pp work on what I assume were some impressive clouds to begin with, but the curb, bright driveway and mostly so RED car compete with the colours (highlighted by your pp work!) of the ominous clouds. Consider a crop?

The contrast between light is dark is displayed very well i would tone down the driveway a bit it draws my attetion there and makes it the focal point. but nice work man
