Those are some intense looking eyes!
Not sure if I am such a big fan of the lighting here, but his stare out of those big dark eyes is captivating.

When I see the little handpainted paper cross ... I'm afraid the first thing I notice is that there is still a bit of colour at the tips of his fingers ...

Would you care to tell us some more about where and when this photo came about? (Maybe later, after others have commented, too, if you prefer, but I am sure there IS a story to this photo).
