Low available light photography

Certainly nothing more than an indicator... but can the 5D get to ISO 25,500? The D3 can, with noise of course, however, the D3 has extremely usable ISO 6400 capabilities.
 
I'd love to rent these cameras, but stuck down here in Belize that's not possible. I have to decide which one I want on the basis of reviews (very few of them around) and word-of-mouth like this forum, and then buy unseen. That essentially is how I chose the 5D, and if it weren't for the dirt issue I doubt I'd even contemplate changing.
 
If the dust is the your only concern, go for the D700.
The sensor is awesome, as proven on the D3, and it costs less than half the price of the 1Ds Mark III.
But, if you like Canon, you may regret that you didn't wait for the replacement of the 5D...
