I turned off the flash for this shot, not sure I like the lighting, but I kept getting a horrible glare with the flash on...

Hey, you did the best thing in turning the flash off! This light is much more pleasing. If you consider a reshoot, you might want to place the can less centred, maybe a bit on the right, and spread out the ... erm .... well :scratch: whatever it is (???) a bit over to the left. And if you can find a desklamp somewhere, you might also try that and direct your light from various angles and see what you get. All this experimenting is such fun (and no longer as costly as it used to be when you had film and had to get it developed and prints made to find out whether your experiments were a success or not :biggrin: )

They are oyster crackers :) Thanks for the tips...off to borrow a table lamp and re-try the shot!
