mac/pc compatible?

Not sure if this is where this question should go but I was just wondering if I put pictures onto a CD or DVD with either a PC or a Mac, would the other be able to read the disc? Last time I tried was back in the days of floppy disc's and back then you weren't able to. I was just wondering if that has changed.

They will be fine. CD's use their own format, whether UDF or whatever, but both machines should be able to open them.
