What Macro and 50mm lenses should I look into getting that fit on a Sony A200 and are below $300?

I could not find a new macro lens for Alpha mount at the $300 price level from Adorama.com. I was thinking the Tamron 90mm AF-SP would be good, but it is $404.

The older Phoenix 100mm f/3.5 macro is good, but it's not available in Alpha mount, only the discontinued MD mount Minolta used to have. Sony uses internal, electronic diaphragm control,so it's not easy to adapt Pentax or Nikon lenses to Alpha. Thre is a T-mount Alpha adapter Amazon.com: Adorama T-Mount for Minolta Maxxum: Electronics

so you could find a macro lens in T-mount,and adapt it to an Alpha body, and stay under $300.

For a 50mm, Sony's own offering, or the Sigma 50/1.4 are the best options right now in new lenses; there are also a LOT of older Minolta 50mm A-mount lenses on the used market.

Thanks to everyone that actually tried to be helpful!

I didn't know I could get a T-mount adapter, so i'll probably pick up one of those so I can find a cheap T-mount macro lens.

what is a good price for the Minolta AF 50mm f/1.4?
