I have a Canon 100mm Macro and would like input from as many of you as will respond. Which should I get, a ring light or a ring flash? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I do not have the 100mm Macro, but I shoot most of my macro with a 135 or shorter. I generally use the old DIY of lamps and flashlights and it works out well enough for my applications from under 100mm to 135mm. I do almost all of mine indoors so your requirements may be different.

At some point in the near future I might have to do a Macro at 100mm just to find out what setup I can build works the best for me....:?::study:
